I want you to get the care you deserve.

Meet Jan

Life is filled with ups and downs that we sometimes do not understand or have difficulty coping with. A different perspective from someone with your best interests at heart can be beneficial in better understanding, and possibly changing, the why and how we deal with these issues. As a licensed professional counselor, I can assist my patients by providing therapy, counseling, consultations, EMDR therapy, CBT, and TF-CBT. I am available in-person or online.

An endearing approach

I can offer an unbiased ear with an open heart and mind. I have faced many obstacles in my own personal and professional life that may be able to assist you when dealing your everyday day-to-day life.

In my professional life

While working full time at the University of Oklahoma, I completed my undergraduate, masters, and 36 post-master level hours required for LPC candidates in the State of Oklahoma. In 2015, I graduated with my Master of Human Relations degree. After graduating, I started my career at a private agency. I worked there for seven years and branched out into my own practice in December 2021.

I am trained in EMDR, CBT, TF-CBT.  I have taken classes and trainings in suicide prevention, LGTBQ+ issues, multi-diverse populations and issues that plague men, women, and young people.  I am a Licensed Professional Counselor Candidate supervisor for those who are not yet fully licensed therapists.

In my personal life

I am a mom of two adult children and three fur babies. I like to spend my time reading, spending time with family and friends, and anything outdoors. My father was a Vietnam combat veteran who struggled with PTSD and depression my entire life. This is what caused me to want to help others who have difficulties with similar issues. In 2018, my husband of over 20 years passed away. This heartbreaking circumstance renewed my passion to help those who struggle with mental illnesses. My personal situations have been a large part of what has propelled me to open my own private practice so that I can help people in the best way that I possibly can.

Iā€™m here to help you.
